Description:
Located at North Terrace, Adelaide, it is an historic garden with a dry Mediterranean climate and alkaline soils. Native and exotic plants are displayed in the various collections, including palms, cycads, bromeliads and mature trees and shrubs. There are also rainforest species in the temperate Australian forest and the Bicentennial Conservatory holds tropical plants. There is a Palm House, Museum of Economic Botany, ponds, lake, National Rose Trial Garden and kiosk.
