Adelaide Botanic Garden
Located at North Terrace, Adelaide, it is an historic garden with a dry Mediterranean climate and alkaline soils. Native and exotic plants are displayed in the various collections, including palms, cycads, bromeliads and mature trees and shrubs. There are also rainforest species in the temperate Australian forest and the Bicentennial Conservatory holds tropical plants. With views of the beautiful Flinders Ranges, this botanic garden showcases a range of arid zone environments within an area of more than 200 hectares.There are special conservation areas where the natural flora is preserved.
