Hello, can anybody help me out and name this plant for me. It is a fragrent ground cover. You can break of a peice and lay it on the ground and it will shoot out roots and take off! It loves the sun or shade. It is growing in Brisbane, QLD. AUSTRALIA. Thanks, Sean :)

Hi Sean
I have that plant. It was given to me by my Mum. She calls it Mixed Herb Plant and I have found references that suggests 'All Purpose Herb'. We often use it in cooking where we would use Mixed Herbs.
I will see if I can find a real name for it.

I think this must be it:

Queen of Herbs, Five in One Herb, Five Seasons Herb, Allherb, Country Borage, Indian Borage, Five Spice Herb, Chinese Three in One, Broad Leafed Thyme, Spanish Thyme, Spanish Sage, Puerto Rican Oregano

Coleus amboinicus syn. C. aromaticus, C. abroicus, Plectranthus amboinicus F. Lamiaceae

Hello Narelle,
Thank you so much for finding out the name of this plant for me.
When my Dad come over to visit he wanted to know what it was called... I have been trying to find it out ever since!
I am yet to use it in cooking but now that you have mentioned, it I will give it a go.
I have also been told it is great for the compost.
Cheers Sean.
