lilac plant

Postby raels on September 8th, 2007, 3:18 pm

Hi to all,

I live in Gisborne Vic Aust and currently having problems with a lilac plant. I am definately not a green thumb so would appreciate any advice. The lilac plant has been planted for 12 months now and has over that period lost everything and looks quite dead about 3 times. You almost think you have lost it when new buds appear and it comes back beautiful no flowers but looks quite healthy. What can I do is this normal or is there something I am doing wrong?

Thanks
Raels

Hi Raels
2 things I know about lilacs is they need full sun (or close to) and don't like too much nitrogen. Not sure if that helps.
And welcome to the forum :)

gardening is the art that uses flowers and plants as paint, and the soil and sky as canvas.
